My 5 month old son has been spending a lot of time with me lately. It's not a bad thing to take a breather from the hustle and bustle of Real Estate in Austin. He's an entertaining little guy and he laughs at me for no reason. Gotta love it!

Dallas Cowboys Are Depressing, Thank GOD for Austin Texas Real Estate

Dallas Cowboys fans are living with their heads in the sand nowadays, with football being a downer lately it's really nice to be able to enjoy the good news pouring in about the Austin real estate market.

I was at Realty Round-Up recently where Dr. Jim Gaines gave Realtors the good, bad and ugly about the next couple years. I like to focus on the good:

1. Austin, Texas real estate values have continued to increase even over the latest financial crisis.
2. The numbers say that Austin, TX & Texas Real Estate in general should be back to normal by Summer of 2011.
3. Interest rates are amazing!

The Cowboys recently had a coaching change so maybe we'll see a surprise victory by the Cowboys for Thanksgiving, but if not, at least we can be thankful for a healthy Texas Real Estate Market.

I have the luxury of making the drive to the Jonestown/Lago Vista area on occasion. It's about a 20 minute drive from my little corner of Cedar Park and the drive is one of the best in Austin in my opinion. It really is relaxing. Rolling green hills, trees as far as you can see and snippets of Lake Travis. Jonestown and Lago Vista are primarily vacation home towns, but there are signs of growth like food stores and small eateries. If you're looking for a place to unwind and get away from the hustle and bustle of city life Jonestown and Lago are highly reccomended.

It's a self contained community with restaurants, beach club, marina and a slurry of other activities for residents.
